Advanced Organizer

An Advanced Organizer is a method to link knowledge and topics to already known terms and concepts.

It can either be used as an introductory element into a lesson or as a summary at the end. It is also beneficial to keep the Advanced Organizer visible during a lesson so that students have the possibility to orient themself.

Effect

  • Makes it easier to link new knowledge with existing.
  • Provides an overview and enables classification of new topics.
  • Logical linking allows easier understanding, longtime remembrance and simpler transfer to practical application.
